A war breaks out between two alien races, catching earth in the crossfire and and anointing "The Chosen Few" with new gifts.
The book tells a story of two warring alien races which bring a newly discovered power source to earth. The peace loving aliens discovered that the best way to hide this source (which are 5 small gems) from the more aggressive war-like aliens was in the brains of humans. The guardian of the gems located and implanted the gems into five humans.
